How do I activate live translation as an Event-Manager?

SlideSync's live translation is an innovative feature that provides real-time captioning in up to 16 languages during live events. This technology not only breaks down language barriers with just a few clicks. It also extends the reach of your event. SlideSync uses advanced technologies such as automatic speech recognition (ASR) and deep learning to create accurate, high-quality subtitles for webcasts in real time. For more exciting information on live transcription, visit our MediaEvent Services homepage.

To activate live translation, click on Events in the left main menu, select your event from the list, and then click on Settings.

Scroll down to the item Streaming configuration and activate the toggle live transcription and live translation.

PLEASE NOTE: Live transcription must also be activated in order to use live translation. In addition, more than one language must be selected for the event.

Live transcription and translation are now activated for your event.

Please pay attention to the following aspects if you have activated live transcription and translation:

Language

We recommend using an external microphone for the best possible results of your subtitles. Please speak as deliberately and clearly as possible.

Environment

Ensure a quiet environment and try to minimize or completely eliminate background noise.

Network

Check your internet connection and make sure it is stable enough to ensure a proper broadcast.

NEW: If you have also activated the recording of your event, the transcription will automatically be added to the recording after the webcast has stopped.

Our Live translation feature supports the following languages: Arabic, Catalan, Czech, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Chinese.

PLEASE NOTE: Our automated live transcription and translation are AI-supported. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy of the transcriptions. Although we are constantly working to improve the quality, inaccuracies may still occur. We recommend using the automated transcriptions as an aid and performing manual checks when necessary. We accept no liability for any damage or inconvenience resulting from the use of the automated live transcription. Thank you for your understanding.
