How can I setup a survey for my event?

A special feature of SlideSync is the possibility of interactive participation in your event, whether via the Question-and-Answer Tool or via a self-created survey. Your attendees can actively participate live or on demand!

NEW: You can now publish the results of your surveys in the attendee view.

To configure a survey for your event, click Events in the left main menu, select your event from the list, and then click Surveys.

Click Add Survey.


On the following page you can manage the survey. If you have set up a multilingual event, a separate field will be displayed for each of the following points, which you must fill out in the target language:

  • Public title (1): This title is visible to the attendee.
  • Internal title (2): This title is a secondary title that is only visible to you and is used to better distinguish your surveys in the Live Producer.
  • Description (3): You can optionally create a description for your survey, e.g. to give your attendees an explanation or guidance on the questions. (PLEASE NOTE: This field is not used to enter the question itself!).
  • Active (4): If you have activated this item, the survey will appear immediately in the attendee view. However, you can also (de)activate the surveys during the Live Event via your Live Producer.
  • Anonymous survey (5): If you have configured an event with registration, the registration data will be stored in combination with the survey data. If this toggle is set, the tracking of the data is prevented, and the result is made anonymous.
  • Public results (6): Show the results of the survey to your attendees. (PLEASE NOTE: You can use this button to show or hide the results in the attendee view).

Once you have finished creating your survey, click Save.



Go to Surveys in the left event menu again to return to the Surveys overview. You can see the list (active, name, questions, participants) of your surveys, you can also configure and save more.

To the right of the survey, you will find three icons:

  • Results: The first icon allows you to view the results for the survey. The presentation of the results is identical in the attendee view.
  • Raw results: Using the second icon, you can list the answers that have been given. In this window you can also download the results as an Excel file. To do so, click on the download icon in the top right corner of the new window.
  • Delete: With the third icon you can delete the survey. All results will be lost.

You can manage and view the surveys during your live event via the Live Producer, as far as you have configured surveys.
