The Question-and-Answer Tool helps you to interact with your attendees quickly and easily. The tool can be activated, managed and controlled, for example, by an Event-Manager or a person with Moderator permissions. If you only have the role of a Speaker, you can easily view and answer any questions asked and if necessary approved during the event.
To display the Q&A Tool before or during an event, click Events in the left main menu, select your event from the list, and then click Questions.
Try out the new Q&A Tool! Activate the slider in the upper right corner.
You can see and answer all questions displayed here:
- If the option Auto-approve questions was activated in the Settings menu of the Q&A Tool, the questions asked are displayed directly to the speaker without prior viewing.
- If this setting is deactivated, the questions end up in the column New, which is not visible to the Speaker. Only persons with the roles of Owner, Event-Manager and Moderator can view the questions and place them in the column Live. This makes the questions visible to the Speaker and you can answer them verbally at your live event to your attendees.
If you have any special requests when using the Q&A Tool, please contact your Event-Manager.
You can also sort the questions by votes (1), if the Question Voting setting has been enabled. To do so, click on the button Sort by votes in the top right-hand corner.
You can also display the page in full-screen mode. To do so, click on the button Expand (2) in the top right-hand corner.
You can publish selected questions that you have dragged into the column Live in the attendee view during an event:
- As soon as the event is live and the question is shown in the column Live, a megaphone icon appears to the right of the question.
- With a click on the icon, the question is displayed together with the name of the questioner, if applicable, in the top centre of the attendee view as a push message.
- To hide the push message, click on the icon again.
Questions or comments that come from the editorial team (e.g. Moderator, Event-Manager) are highlighted and do not appear in the attendee view, but only to you.
PLEASE NOTE: When verbally inviting attendees to submit questions in a Question-and-Answer session, expect their answers to be at least 20 seconds late. This is due to a technical feature in the broadcast of the stream to the attendee. This delay also affects the display of the push message which is shown in sync with the live video.
