In large corporate networks, problems can arise at remote locations if there is not enough bandwidth for video-intensive applications such as SlideSync. If the limits of current internet connections are exceeded, the quality of the video is drastically reduced and can also lead to an interruption in broadcasting.
Enterprise Content Delivery Networks (E-CDNs) solve this problem by providing the best experience for every attendee, even on networks with limited internet bandwidth.
Two types of enterprise CDNs are supported by SlideSync - peer-to-peer (P2P) E-CDNs and server-based E-CDNs.
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) E-CDNs
SlideSync supports the following peer-to-peer enterprise CDNs, which have often already been set up for other services (e.g. Microsoft Teams):
Server-basierte E-CDNs
SlideSync offers a server-based E-CDN, the SlideSync CDN Edge Node. It is available as a virtual appliance or as a physical 1U appliance. Each server can serve up to 4,000 local clients and can also replicate to other edge servers in the company.
