What do the different language settings mean?

    It is possible to host and stream multilingual events in SlideSync. The viewer can choose one of the set languages and watch or listen to the event in that language.

    If multiple video and audio signals are to be broadcast, this setting requires an additional encoder.

    Multilingual slides

    If you do not have an encoder, you can still easily add multilingual slides to your web-, audio-, or slidecast. This means that for your video and/or audio signal, the slides will be displayed in the respective language.

    1. First, you have to activate the respective languages in the language settings: Click on Events in the left main menu, select your event from the list and then click on Settings.
    2. You have the possibility to choose your language from 25 different languages (2) from the dropdown menu or just type in your language preference. The event will then be created in the respective target language. (PLEASE NOTE: The automatically generated public link will remain the same!)
    3. You can now edit the title in the respective target language individually:
      1. Click on the downward pointing arrow (1) to the right of the title in the event settings.
      2. Click on the title of the respective language to edit it. 
    4. To allocate the slides to the different languages for the event, click on Files in the left event menu on the left.
    5. Place all slides in the respective languages via the field Drag and Drop file here. For a successful slideshow, it is very important that the number of slides is the same because you control only one presentation in the live producer. The slides of the other languages will be controlled automatically.
    6. Click on each presentation to assign it to the respective language setting.
      1. The settings for the slides opens: First, activate the presentation (1).
      2. Select the Language to which the slides should be assigned from the drop-down menu and confirm this by clicking on the checkmark.
    7. Click on Files again in the left event menu.
      1. If your slides are each marked with a green edge (see picture above), they are activated and assigned to a language.

      PLEASE NOTE: It is also possible to configure the layout of the event individually for the respective language. For more info, see Edit Layout.
