How can I add questions to my survey?

A special feature of SlideSync is the possibility of interactive participation in your event, whether via the Question-and-Answer Tool or via a self-created survey. Your attendees can actively participate live or on demand! Once you have set up a survey, you can add your questions.

To add questions to your survey, click Events in the left main menu, select your event from the list, and then click Surveys.

If you have already set up one or more surveys, they are listed on this page. If you have not yet set up a survey, please follow the instructions in this article.

From the list, select the survey in which you would like to add one or more questions.

In the section Questions it is possible to set up your individual survey. To do this, click on Add Question (6).

PLEASE NOTE: Consider that in case of a multilingual event, the questions and answer options must be inserted in the respective languages.

You can enter your question in the field Question text.



Click on Add Option.

You have the option to generate three answer fields from the dropdown menu:

  • Radio Button: With the help of a Radio button you can insert multiple answer options (at least 2!). The attendee can select one answer out of the options during the survey.
    • To do this, enter the first answer option into the text field.
    • Click on Add Option to add more answer options.
    • The survey results are displayed in a bar and pie chart (including percentage data).
  • Text field: The text field allows attendees to answer the question with keywords individually.
    • You do not have to make any entries in the text field but you can use it to customize the view of the text field (e.g. a sample answer or a brief instruction). The attendee still enters his or her own answer.
    • You can only generate one text field per question!
    • The survey results are displayed either as a list or in a word cloud.
  • Text area: With the help of the text area, attendees can answer the question individually with longer texts.
    • You do not have to make any entries in the text area, but you can use it to customize the view of the text area (e.g. a sample answer or a brief instruction). The attendee still enters his own answer.
    • You can only generate one text area per question!
    • The survey results are only listed.

Once you have finished creating your survey, click Save.

PLEASE NOTE: If your survey is already activated, you can view and test it in the preview.

You can manage and view the surveys during your live event via the Live Producer, as far as you have configured surveys. You can find detailed instructions in this article.
