What do I need to consider as an organizer regarding accessibility?

SlideSync provides a basic accessible setup with its participant page.

However, to ensure full accessibility, additional aspects must be considered. This checklist gives a compact overview of what organizers should pay attention to:

  1. Images:
All graphics, whether logos or images in the description, must include alternative text. For details, see the article Images with Alternative Text.

  1. Slides:
Presentation slides must not be embedded directly in the video stream. They should be uploaded and managed through the separate SlideSync slides feature. For details, see the article Making Slides Accessible.

  2. Videos with Subtitles:
All videos must include subtitles. For this purpose, use the internal SlideSync live captioning feature. Further information is available in the article Subtitles.

  3. Description Texts:
Make sure all descriptions follow a clear structure and hierarchy. More details are available in the article Hierarchy and Structure”.
If you apply color changes such as text highlighting, ensure sufficient color contrast. For guidance, see the article Contrasts.

  4. Custom Design:
If custom design is requested, ensure the selected colors provide proper color contrast. For details, see the article Contrasts.
